Oleg Ligai
Oleg Ligai iwas born in Dnipro, Ukraine, he trained at the Kyiv State Ballet College under Vladimir Denisenko, graduating in 2015. He currently serves as Principal Dancer at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT). Throughout his international career, he has collaborated with prestigious institutions including the Czech National Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, the Mariinsky Theatre, the National Opera of Ukraine, and the Georgian State Ballet. His appearances at international festivals — including performances in London — have further established his artistic maturity and charismatic presence on stage.
His classical repertoire features major leading roles such as Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), Prince Désiré (The Sleeping Beauty), Albrecht (Giselle), James (La Sylphide), Solor (La Bayadère), Basilio (Don Quixote), Colas (La Fille mal gardée), Frondoso (Laurencia), and the Prince in The Nutcracker.
Ligai is equally accomplished in neoclassical and contemporary repertoire, performing works by George Balanchine (Apollo), William Forsythe (The Second Detail), Hans van Manen (Frank Bridge Variations), Krzysztof Pastor (Moving Rooms), and David Dawson (A Sweet Spell of Oblivion). His performances reveal architectural precision, dynamic range, and a deep responsiveness to musical structure.
